2024 Disc Golf Pro Tour DGPT Trading cards Factory Sealed Relic Box
Here you have a Relic box from the 2024 Disc Golf Pro Tour set of trading cards. This year’s release was highlighted by the inclusion of the second year of relics and autographs as well as an increase in parallels to 3 rarities called Chrome (Like last years Silver) /75, Rainbow Sand /25, and Rainbow /10. The Rainbow and Rainbow Sand were apparently mixed up during production so the box states the serial numbering and odds differently but what I stated in the last sentence is as it was produced. Essentially each player in the 115 card set had four 1/1’s available. There are 15 packs with 12 cards included in this box plus 1 pack which usually contained the relic card and 1 additional card. One Relic is guaranteed but there is a chance you can get autographed cards in these packs also. Their odds stated that autographs come 1 in every 22 packs but in 20 Relic and 20 Signature boxes that I opened I only received 25 autos. There also were 1/1 autographs available for all the players in the Signature series and supposedly Hero Signature cards serial numbered /5 but unfortunately, none of those have been publicly found yet, so the assumption is they may have been mishandled and never got put into the packs, or they are all concentrated in 1 persons box. Wow wouldn’t you be so lucky if that happened here in this box! No promises but please let me know if it does. The115-card base set contains cards for the top 75 MPO players and the top 40 FPO players. There is a 15-card subset featuring the 15 MPO and FPO Champions for each of the 15 tour stops. The popular 24-card subset featuring the top 12 MPO and FPO (or replacements) players featured in the All Star Weekend. Last years Special Edition subset was rebranded as the 10-card Monochrome Selects series which features black and white photography from Kevin Huver. An addtional 10-card subset was added this year called Movement Series and featured players in motion with skillful photography tricks. A few were color and a few were black and white. There was a new 14-card subset called Moments and Awards. 1 card featuring the Rookie of the Years from MPO and FPO came 1 card per pre-ordered relic or signature box plus 8 of the other 13 came in packs or these boxes: Individual MPO and FPO cards for each of the following categories: Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Comeback Player of the Year, Points Champions. A cool idea to cross promote their trading cards through different avenues, but difficult for the collector who likes to complete all of the sets.
